Solar Energy. Keep it legal
Posted: Oct 19, 2006If you are thinking of investing in a solar hot water system, or have recently had a system installed on your home, please remember that all solar installations are controlled services and must be notified with your local buildings control officer. This is a legal requirement.
Controlled services are specific areas of the industry that are controlled to ensure that the installations are installed and commissioned to comply with the building regulations Part L on energy efficiency.
On completion of a solar thermal hot water system, your installer
must provide the customer with all commissioning details and building
regulations notification certificates.
