Case Study - Filey

We received a customer inquiry from a customer in Filey from the DTIs web site. The customer was planning to build a new Bungalow and wanted to install a solar thermal hot water system and a ground source heat pump for the underfloor heating circuit.


The customer provided detailed plans of the proposed building. We designed a solar thermal hot water system to suit the property. The customer also had grant assistance for part of the project.

We recommended and install a mains pressure  210 Liter Range Tribune hot water cylinder within the selected cylinder cupboard. Due to limited cupboard space we installed the complete solar pump station within the loft space.

 

We installed 2 Genersys flat plate solar collectors onto the south facing roof area, of the property this was the best area to gain full solar gain. We chose it integrate the 2 solar collectors into the roof structure for a neater appearance. The main roof contractor completed the roof tiling around the solar panels and our weathering system. This
