Solar
Case Study - York
One of our customer in the York area, wanted to save energy and save carbon on their own property.
We visited the property and discussed various energy saving system available within the customers budget.
We suggested that the best option for the customer and the property was a solar thermal hot water system. We completed the property survey and noting details how many people live in the house to establish the hot water requirements.
We suggested the location for the solar panels to gain maximum solar efficiency and type of roof fixing system that would suit the roof structure.
We also talked about the location of the required Solar Pump Station, and Expansion Vessel and the components required with the Solar Hot Water System, We recommended the solar kit to be located within the loft space saving valuable space within the existing cylinder cupboard.
We discussed the location of the Solar Digital Controller Unit, and we agreed the best location was within the cylinder cupboard to enable the user to monitor and check solar efficiency.
With all the gathered customer information we provided a no obligation written quotation to complete the Solar Thermal installation..
The customer was happy to proceed. The next step was to apply for the £400 grant from the low carbon buildings program which the customer completed on-line. The grant application was approved within 24 hours, and we arranged the installation date.
